Are You A Young Earth Creationist? Take The Quiz!

Are you a Young Earth Creationist? In case you're unsure, you may want to answer the 9 questions below, which Creation Ministries International put together to help "ascertain whether your future pastor, youth group leader or Bible College principal takes a straightforward view of Genesis."

You wouldn't want your child to learn actual facts would you? Heavens, no.

From the introduction to the quiz:
CMI periodically receives requests for us to identify Bible colleges/seminaries that believe/teach a straightforward reading of Genesis. We also know of pastoral search committees lamenting that they would not have selected certain candidates if only they had known in advance of their compromise (long-age, or theistic evolutionary) stance on Genesis.

For a number of reasons, CMI does not provide a list of ‘young-earth’ theological colleges, nor do we get involved in church staffing matters. However, in response to such enquiries we have prepared the following questionnaire to meet an evident need.

Please feel free to reference CMI's explanatory notes for each question.

Good luck!

  1. Do you believe God created animals before he created the light of the sun ? I think this is the order in Genesis.

  2. Wait, were the animals vegetarian? Or VEGAN!

  3. It's strange that they included number 9 in the list. Every Christian - whether they are a young-earth creationist or not - believes (or should believe) that.

  4. Glad to say I had a perfect score on this test-"0".

And Jim, actually, he created light (1st day) and plants (3rd day) before he did the sun (4th day,) the sequence of which make no sense whatsoever. He did, however, have the good taste to wait until the fifth day to create animals.

  5. Q4 doesn't really nail the non-believer. It's not my quiz, but I'd suggest the following:

    4. Regarding the Creation of man and woman, which story do you believe?
    a Genesis 1, 24-27
    b Genesis 2, 7-22
    c Neither

In Genesis 1, God created the animals, then man and woman. In Genesis 2, God created man, then the animals, then woman. You can't believe both.

  6. "You can't believe both."

Yes, you can Patrick, Genesis 1 and 2 are not contradictory accounts. Genesis 1 gives the full story while Genesis 2 focuses on Day 6 only. Most apparent biblical contradictions have very simple answers. :^D

  7. I do not believe in Theistic Evolution; on the contrary, I believe in Old Earth Creationism in the form of the Day-Age Theory. I also do not believe dinos were aboard Noah's Ark either. They were already extinct when Adam and Eve were created.
